After some concerns regarding the school’s aging HVAC system, Service2 were called to assess the school and advise the best course of action required in order to bring the schools HVAC facilities up to a modern standard.
Following a comprehensive site survey, Service2 issued a detailed report outlining the work recommended in order to achieve our client’s goals. This report recommended a huge overhaul which involved abolishing the existing three zone HVAC system and separating the school into eight zones.
This comprehensive new HVAC solution was custom designed to achieve the maximum system efficiency, control and functionality across the entire site. Recommended work included installation of 10 new boilers, installation of new Air Conditioning system, replacing all pipework, installation of modern radiators as well as re-designed ventilation and extraction systems in addition to removing asbestos.
Once the work was commissioned, Service2 worked efficiently and methodically in order to complete this major HVAC renovation as summarised below.
- Asbestos removed from site
- Replaced all pipework, installed 4 x Hamworthy commercial boilers in the main plant room and 2 calorifiers.
- Installed 1 x Worcester system boiler in the refectory plant room.
- Installed 3 x Worcester system boilers and 1 unvented cylinder to the adjoining Ladyroyd Primary School.
- Installed new A/C system
- Installed 2 x Worcester boilers in Pastoral office in Atrium area.
- Installed 2 x Caloriers in Pool plant room.
All components of this bespoke system were fitted with our signature attention to detail before undergoing a rigorous testing process. Once our engineers were absolutely satisfied with the newly installed systems performance, it was commissioned and the appropriate certificates issued.
As always, work was completed to the very highest standards and exceeded the expectations of Bradford Girls Grammar School in addition to complying with all relevant regulations as well as onsite policies and procedures. All work was carried out during the summer holidays with a view to eliminate any disruption to the day-to-day running of the school.
We firmly believe that this project further establishes Service2 as one of the North of England’s leading names in Mechanical Engineering.
Here’s what Michelle Taylor from Bradford Girls Grammar School had to say:
“Service2 installed a new heating system within school in Summer 2016. The project was carried out in a timely and professional manner, at the same time adopting a very personal approach to the school. The school was very impressed with the install and the management of the project and as a result made the decision to pass our annual service contracts to them.
They are reliable, professional and work to a very high standard, I would not hesitate to recommend them as a company.”
