As part of our long term relationship with Trinity Leeds, Service 2 were contracted to install 5 new street vendors from across the UK into Trinity Kitchens, located on the top floor of the Trinity shopping centre.
The changeover took place every 6-8 weeks as a new set of 5 vendors enter the Trinity Kitchens. However the work leading up to a smooth transition began almost as soon as the Kitchen’s latest arrivals fired up their friers to start creating their unique cuisines!
Once Service 2 received a list of the next 5 street food vendors scheduled to enter Trinity we began contacting each one, scheduling a pre-inspection appointment for an engineer to visit them at their location. On the day of this appointment, our engineer assessed each vendor’s needs and ensured that all the equipment required was tested for both regulatory compliance and safety. Our thorough inspection included checking that FFDs and other relevant safety devices were installed, PAT testing was upto date and that the vendor held all relevant gas certificates. During this visit our engineer also checked that the equipment due to be taken on-site did not exceed the maximum power allowance allocated by Trinity Kitchens. All gas appliances brought into the kitchens were LPG.
Once changeover night arrived, our specialist team worked through the night to ensure that the current vendors were moved out and replaced by the 5 latest arrivals. This work required extensive preparation and communication with all parties in order to ensure a smooth and efficient transition. All work was carried out overnight in order to eliminate disruption and in full compliance with national regulations as well as onsite policies and procedures.
Each changeover was unique due to the variety of workspaces entering the Kitchens but our team of engineers worked tirelessly through the night in order to remove, adjust and replace ducting as required to ensure efficient ventilation while also adjusting the gas pipe work to fit each van or stall.
This work has proven to be a true testament to our customer focused approach, outstanding attention to detail and world class project management skills which all came together to ensure that we delivered results that exceeded expectations in ways that only Service 2 could.
